Outputs appearing elsewhere

We’ve appeared in various places around the blogosphere over recent months talking about mayors, local government and local democracy.

Here’s a round up of some of our activity.

David posted The world won’t listen: representation and democracy in city governance at the PolicyBristol Hub back in June.

Jo organised a workshop on Citizens, mayors and democracy in the city and posted a review of the event on the SPS blog in October.

Alex reviewed a presentation by Benjamin Barber under the title Towards a global Parliament of Mayors. The review first appeared at PolicyBristol Hub in October. It was subsequently reposted at Democratic Audit blog and the LSE US Politics blog.

David posted a reflection on George Ferguson’s first year as Elected Mayor of Bristol under the title One year in, Bristol’s Mayoral experiment is making a difference to the city’s governance. The post appeared first at Democratic Audit in November and was reposted at PolicyBristol Hub.

Alex responded to George Ferguson’s Vision for Bristol as set out in his first State of the City address on 18th November. This was broadcast live on BBC Radio Bristol. Alex wrote up the text associated with his response and posted it on his blog.
